A day after he was slammed on social media for posting a disturbing picture of "butchered Kashmiri Pandits", Anupam Kher defended his action with another tweet.
He wrote, "For all those who are outraged with a pic I posted yesterday- Remember brutal killing of innocent people is not supposed to have an expiry date".

On July 12, Kher sparked outrage by sharing an image, reportedly from the 1990s, of children covered in blood and captioning it, "butchered bodies of Kashmiri Pandits killed by terrorists".
Social media users slammed him for sharing an old image, apparently from the 1998 Wandhama massacre, amid such a tense and sensitive time in the Valley.
@AnupamPkher It's so irresponsible to post these pics, sir. I wonder wat u'd gain if these pics spark violence and 500 innocents are killed.— Deepak Bajpai (@BajpaiDeepak) July 12, 2016
Sick opportunistic tweet of the day goes to @AnupamPkher who can't commiserate with those currently dying but uses dated pics to incite hate— Chirpy Says (@IndianPrism) July 12, 2016
. @AnupamPkher We outrage Mr.Kher. Digging up the old dead bodies for selfish motive is outrageous. Shame on you.— Abdulla Madumoole (@AMadumoole) July 12, 2016

Kashmir has seen violent protests over the last few days after Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani was killed and at least 34 people have been killed and scores injured as protesters clashed with security forces.
