He is a specialist in Communications and Electronic Warfare who graduated from of the Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich, United Kingdom and the US Naval War College.In his previous assignment, Admiral Verma was the Commander-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, responsible for Bay of Bengal and South-East Asia. Admiral Nirmal Verma, Chief of the Naval Staff, accompanied by Madhulika Verma, president, Naval Wives’ Welfare Association, arrived in Visakhapatnam on Sunday on a three-day farewell visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC).
