As the nine-day festival of Navratri is underway, October 10 will mark the fifth day of the auspicious festival and on this day, Goddess Skanda mata will be worshipped. People believe that the goddess awards her devotees with salvation, power, prosperity, and treasures. It is said that Skandmata can grant oceans of wisdom even to anyone. On October 10, Lalita Panchami will also be observed. It is a fasting day for Goddess Lalita and it is also known as Upang Lalita Vrat. Goddess Lalita is regarded as the Tripura Sundari and Shodashi, she is also one of the 10 Mahavidhyas.
