CHENNAI: The Gandhi World Foundation recently conducted a drawing competition, quiz competition and other sports activities to mark the 64th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. About 150 school students participated in the event which was held at Gummidipoondi. The reason why Gandhi World Foundation organised the event was to spread Gandhiji’s thoughts and philosophies among the younger generation. Now that the entire world follows his teachings, it would be a shame if Indians forget the values he has left behind. Gandhi world Foundation founder ML Rajesh, Managing Trustee R Vijiaylakshmi, Trustee Dilip Kumar Jain, Pramod Jain begun the events with their speeches on Gandhiji and organised other competitions to entertain the kids. Trustee Lawyer Shyam Sundar, Former Ranji cricketer Murali and Dilip Kumar Jain gave away the prizes.
