TUMKUR: Five construction workers died on the spot and 15 others sustained grievous injuries when the SUV in which they were travelling rammed a lorry at Nelhal near Tumkur on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Viresh (28), Maunesh (20), Hanumantappa (20), Maunappa (35) and S Manunesh (30), all from Anehosur village of Lingasgur taluk in Raichur district. It is said that they were going to Bangalore in search of jobs.Five of the 13 injured were taken to NIMHANS in Bangalore, while the others have been admitted to the district hospital in Tumkur.
