3-yr-old dies after TV falls on him

CHENNAI:  A three-year-old boy died of head injuries after a television set fell on him at his house at Basin Bridge, police said on Friday.Police said Kishore (3) of KP Park, Basin Bridge attempted to climb on the TV stand when the TV and the rack fell on him. He died in the Government General Hospital on Thursday. “He just ran to the TV and started climbing when the TV and the stand fell on him. The edge of the TV cut my son’s head,” Kishore’s father Balakrishnan said.The parents initially took the child to a private clinic, where the child received first aid. “We then took him to Egmore children hospital and doctors said his condition was serious. We then took him to GGH for  a scan, but by the evening he passed away.”
