Tamil Nadu: Three female students of SVS Yoga and Naturopathy College at Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu reportedly committed suicide on Saturday evening after having a tiff with the college management over basic infrastructure in the institute.
The bodies were found inside a well and it was sent for post mortem examination. The students were identified as Monisha, Priyanka and Saranya.
The local police have initiated a case against the college management and arrested Shokkar Verma, son of the college chairman.
Reports suggest that the students allegedly committed suicide as the college lacked basic infrastructure as promised to the students.
"Since there was resource crunch, students were made to work," sources said.
The police have recovered a suicide note in which the students allegedly blamed the college management for forcing them to take the extreme step.
