New Delhi: '12 Years A Slave' is nominated in several categories for this year's Oscar Awards, and is all set to give a tough competition to films like 'Gravity' and 'American Hustle'. The film opened to positive criticism in the West and now it has hit the Indian screens.
Directed by Steve McQueen, the film features Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead roles.
The film revolves around Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who was a free black man before being kidnapped in New York.
The story showcases the time period around the year 1841, and the makers have put their heart and soul in giving the film the right look.
