Bhagavanth Kesari hit the theatres on October 19. The mass entertainer starred Nandamuri Balakrishna, who collaborated with director Anil Ravipudi for the first time. The movie also starred Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela as the two female leads. Sreeleela, who is one of the bankable actresses in the industry at present, portrayed the role of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s niece in the movie and won the hearts of the audience with her performance. Sreeleela has been on a signing spree ever since her movie Dhamaka hit the screens. Touted to be one of the busiest actresses in the industry, she used to charge Rs 4 lakh. This fee is not based on per movie, instead, it was reportedly her hourly charge — which was at par with a top male actor’s pay. As per the latest reports, Sreeleela was paid Rs 1.5 crore as remuneration in Bhagavanth Kesari. Now, after the success of the movie, she will reportedly be charging Rs 3 crore. No confirmation has been received regarding this news.
Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen in a never-seen-before role in Bhagavanth Kesari. Sreeleela and his on-screen camaraderie touched the audience and left them emotional as well. The movie emerged to be a box office success despite facing competition from Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. On the 11the day, Bhagavanth Kesari minted a whopping Rs 130.01 crore at the box office.
Sreeleela marked her debut in the industry with the movie Kiss in 2019, which emerged to be successful at the box office. It was in 2021 that she starred in the movie Pelli SandaD, which marked her maiden Telugu movie.
If the reports are to be believed, she has signed nine Telugu movies, thus cementing her place as one of the top actresses. She has Aadikeshava and Extra Ordinary Man. She is also gearing up for Trivikram Srinivas’ Guntur Kaaram and Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
