This wikiHow teaches you how to open and view an attached image, audio, or document file in an email in the Gmail app, using an iPhone or iPad.
Open the Gmail app on your iPhone or iPad. The Gmail icon looks like a white envelope with a red lining around it. You can find it on your home screen, or in an app folder.
Tap the email with the attachment. Find the email you want to open in your mailbox, and tap on it. This will open the selected email's contents on a new page.
Tap the attachment you want to open at the bottom of the email. Attachments are listed at the bottom of the email's body. Tap on the attachment you want to view. Tapping will allow you to view the attached file in full-screen. This can be an image, audio, or a document file.
