How to Evolve Galarian Darumaka
How to Evolve Galarian Darumaka
Like other Pokémon games, Pokémon Sword and Shield includes a few regional variants of Pokémon, one of them being Darumaka. Though the typical (Unovan) Darumaka is a Fire-type Pokémon that evolves beginning at level 35, Galarian Darumaka is an Ice-type Pokémon that evolves through a different method.[1]

If you're playing Pokémon Sword and Shield and having trouble evolving your Galarian Darumaka, keep reading this wikiHow article for some advice.
Steps

Catch Galarian Darumaka. You can only catch Galarian Darumaka in the wild in Pokémon Sword. If you're playing Pokémon Shield, you'll need to trade from Pokémon Shield for Galarian Darumaka. If you're playing Pokémon Sword, you have a chance to find Galarian Darumaka on Routes 8 and 10, as well as in Max Raid battles in the Wild Area at the Lake of Outrage, Giant's Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, Dusty Bowl and Stony Wilderness. If you're playing the Crown Tundra Expansion in Pokémon Sword, you also have a chance of finding Darumaka on Snowslide Slope. Darumaka's Catch Rate is relatively high, so you should be able to bring regular and/or Great Pokéballs with you. Darumaka is not immune to any types of moves, but it is weak to Rock, Fire, Fighting and Steel-type moves.

Level up your Darumaka to the level of your choosing. Darumaka does not need to be a specific level before evolving, so you can choose to level it up a little, a lot, or not at all before you evolve it.

Obtain an Ice Stone. In order for Galarian Darumaka to evolve, you'll need to use an Ice Stone. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can find an Ice Stone on Route 9 at the canal by heading northeast from the Fisher in this area. You also have a chance of finding an Ice Stone at the Stone Ring at the Lake of Outrage in the Wild Area, located near the southwest stone. You can also visit the Digging Duo located near Bridge Field in the Wild Area and pay either of them 500 Watts. They will then look for items, one of which may end up being an Ice Stone. In addition, if you have the Crown Tundra Expansion, you can also find an Ice Stone on the Path to the Peak, and on Snowslide Slope, Slippery Slope, and in Ballimere Lake by completing Max Raid Battles.

Open your bag and select the Ice Stone. To do this, Press X to open the menu, then select the Bag icon (it's typically the second option). After that, select the "Other Items" section and find the Ice Stone. You'll then want to select it, followed by selecting "Use this Item", then your Darumaka. Your Darumaka should then begin to evolve. Once the evolution is finished, you will have a Galarian Darmanitan. Avoid pressing "B" at any point during the evolution, or your Darumaka will stop evolving.

Know how to catch Galarian Darmanitan. Like Galarian Darumaka, Galarian Darmanitan is not available in Pokémon Shield. However, in Pokémon Sword, you have a chance of finding Galarian Darmanitan in Max Raid battles at the Lake of Outrage, Hammerlocke Hills, Stony Wilderness, Dusty Bowl and Giant's Cap. You also have a chance of encountering Galarian Darmanitan in the Crown Tundra if you're playing Pokémon Sword on Snowslide Slope, during a Blizzard. Galarian Darmanitan is considered a wanderer in the Crown Tundra, meaning you should be able to see it.
