Closed Handcuffs (Simple)
Draw two ovals.
Draw two smaller ovals inside the first two.
Add a curved rectangle shape to the top of both ovals. Let the bottom of the shape curve out a little to blend it into the large oval.
Bring the inside edges to the bottom oval. Round off the edge.
Add almost-complete circles at the bottom of the ovals. Draw a circle in the center.
Add teeth on the outer edge of the cuffs.
Add details to the top. This will include: the key hole, the studs, and the top loop.
Draw in more edging to add dimension.
Erase unwanted lines.
Draw a chain and add shading.
Open Handcuffs (Slightly Harder)
Draw one oval to the one side of your page.
Add another, larger oval.
Draw two more ovals. Make these overlapping each other. (Draw very lightly)
Erase the inside lines. The remaining lines will be shaped somewhat like a heart on its side.
Erase some of the "heart" to make it open.
Draw a rounded rectangle on the top of the heart.
Add another curve, completing the other side of the open cuff.
Draw a partial circle for the hinge.
Erase unwanted lines.
Draw teeth on the open side of the cuff.
Add details. Darken lines.
Add the curved rectangle and hinge to the closed cuff.
Erase more.
Add the key hole, teeth, and studs to the closed side.
Draw the chain and shade.
Finished!
