Draw a circle with guidelines for the head. All seven dwarfs' heads are very round, like basketballs--look at the illustration to get it exactly right.
Draw a small cylindrical shape for the neck underneath where the head is. Draw an oval and connect them as shown. This part will be the body.
Draw several overlapping ovals on either side of the teardrop shape. These will be Dopey's arms and hands.
Draw another oval for the lower body/legs covered by clothing. Under that draw two long ovals for the feet.
Outline the head and add facial features over the sketch. Make a round face with big eyes, a small snub nose, and a smiling mouth with chubby little cheeks. Add two VERY large ears. Put a cap over the head. Unlike the other six dwarfs, Dopey has no beard. Finish up with the neck and collar.
Outline the body and detail the clothing over the sketch. Draw a tunic with two buttons over a chubby belly, secured with a buckled belt, as well as lumpy shoes on his feet. Make sure Dopey's tunic goes all the way down to his feet (so no part of his legs shows).
Line the drawing with black ink. Try to make a modular line, which passes from a thin to a thick line and vice versa. This will make your drawing look better and more professional. Erase any leftover pencil and add color!
