Steps
Dip your brush into the paint. Use the corner of the brush to dip in the first color and then dip the corner of the brush into the second paint color.
Blend the two colors of paint between the two pools of paint on your palette.
Add a little more paint to each corner of the brush and stroke again.
Blend the paints once again making sure to keep each color of paint facing the once selected. In this article, and embedded video, this means the white paint faces the white pool of paint and the blue corner of the brush faces the pool of blue paint.
Stroke in the same place when loading the paint brush with the blended paints.
Continue this process until the paint brush is fully loaded with paint. The brush should have paint almost to the top of the brush but not in the brush ferrule.
Painting the Comma or Scroll Stroke
Firmly press the loaded brush down onto the surface and then slowly release the brush until the brush is on its chisel edge at the end of the stroke.
Remember to firmly press the brush at the start and then curve the brush while lifting up until the brush is on its chisel edge.
Remember to keep the Comma stroke curvy.
