Fennec 45
The Fennec 45 is Warzone's best SMG for close-range combat. With limited range and somewhat intense recoil, the Fennec 45 might not be ideal for every situation. Equip this weapon with the right loadout, and the Fennec 45 will make you a force to be reckoned with in tight quarters. Vaznez 9K
The Vaznez 9K features top-tier damage and impressive mobility. This SMG offered the most damage of any SMG in Call of Duty: Warzone during Season One. It was slightly weakened in a patch for Season Two, but it still packs a considerable punch. The smaller magazine may force you to reload more often than you would like, but it is lightweight and offers great mobility around the map. PDSW 528
The PDSW 528 rises up the rankings with its massive ammo capacity. This SMG may be more familiar to longtime CoD players as the P90. It isn't overly impressive in any one area, but it sports by far the largest magazine of any SMG. It defaults to 50 rounds, so its limited damage is less of a concern when you can easily gun several enemies down with a single mag. The SMG is also lightweight, increasing your Sprint speed when carrying it. FSS Hurricane
The FSS Hurricane offers low damage, but makes up for it elsewhere. With underwhelming damage and firing rate, you may have to spray a few extra bullets when carrying an FSS Hurricane, but those bullets can travel pretty far! If you are looking for a midpoint between an SMG and an AR (assault rifle) in Warzone, look no further than the FSS Hurricane and its impressive range. Minibak
The Minibak may be the perfect SMG for players on the move. Like its cousin the Vaznez 9K, the Minibak is highly portable, so players who like to stay on the move should give it a look. It also can hold 60 bullets in a magazine, so its considerably low damage is less of a concern. Players will want to consider attachments that limit its recoil, however. VEL 46
The VEL 46 is effective from close range, but ineffective in the open field. Every SMG in Warzone has its uses, and the VEL 46 can be a great weapon for those who prefer to stay indoors and fight in close quarters. Unfortunately, winning a game of Warzone will likely require you to venture out into open areas from time to time, and the VEL 46 just does not have the distance to pierce enemy armor from afar. BAS-P
The BAS-P is weaker than the other SMGs in each key category. The BAS-P, also known as the MPX, is one of the few SMGs in Warzone we advise against using. It does not have any glaring weaknesses, but it is bested in just about every category by at least one other SMG on this list. You might find success with a BAS-P, but you will find grinding for camos and other attachments to be more worthwhile using another weapon. MX9
The MX9 lacks the ammo capacity to make it a worthwhile SMG. Although the MX9 has grown in popularity as a sniper support weapon, players could do a lot better than this SMG. Its magazine only holds 25 bullets (still only 32 with a higher-capacity mag) and its bullets fire very slowly. The MX9 also lacks the range needed to make it effective from medium-to-long range, making it the weakest SMG in Warzone.
