The Pune-based franchise of the Indian Super League is co-owned by former Serie A champions ACF Fiorentina and the Rajesh Wadhawan Group, while Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan became the third stake-holder as late as October 9 after Salman Khan clarified that he does not own the Pune franchise.
There had been some confusion over whether Salman is also one of the stakeholders. However, the Bollywood icon then tweeted that he isn't in any away associated with the club, clearing way for Fiorentina and Rajesh Wadhawan to rope in Hrithik.
Fiorentina will provide technical expertise to the club that will be coached by Franco Colomba and has the former Juventus striker David Trezeguet as its marquee player. The club will play its home matches at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.
