Owned by India's leading cable TV distribution company DEN Networks and in possession of perhaps the biggest player in the form of Alessandro Del Piero, Delhi Dynamos Football Club will represent India's capital in the city-based Indian Super League.
The team made a smart move by entering into an alliance with Dutch club Feyenoord that will help in development of the team besides providing players and technical staff in the much-awaited inaugural season.
Feyenoord Rotterdam is one of the two biggest football clubs in the Netherlands, a football crazy country that has been producing top players and teams for a long time. As part of the alliance with franchise owner DEN, Feyenoord will share its immense knowledge of the sport with the Delhi club.
Talking of Del Piero, he is currently the second-highest all-time Italian scorer with 345 goals and played for Serie A powerhouse Juventus for 19 years, which included 290 goals in 705 appearances - both club records.
