The South Indian metro city of India already has a strong connection with cricket through the Indian Premier League club Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that has seen unprecedented success in Twenty20 cricket. And with football joining in, the city's sports connect is going to get much stronger.

Owner together by Bollywood start Abhishek Bachchan, Dhoni and Vita Dani, Chennai have quickly assembled a formidable squad with Elano Blumer as its marquee player, along with Italian defender cum coach Marco Materazzi as the star attraction.
