Margao: Kerala Blasters assistant coach Trevor Morgan will take charge of Dempo SC as head coach Arthur Papas has resigned, citing personal reasons.
According to sources in the club, Dempo SC have already chosen Papas' successor.
They are expected to announce Morgan's name officially as the new head coach for the remainder of the 2014-2015 season.
The sources revealed that there was no cooperation between the coach and the his staff, and it reflected in the team's results in the ongoing I-League.
Dempo SC have come up with disappointing performances so far in the tournament and are lying at eighth position in the points table. Their humiliating 1-5 defeat to East Bengal in the last match forced Papas to quit the club.
Morgan is expected to arrive this weekend and will take charge of Dempo SC after the tie against Mohun Bagan," the sources said.
