Bayern's backup goalkeeper Reina returns to Napoli

Munich: Bayern Munich says goalkeeper Pepe Reina is returning to Napoli following one season as backup to Manuel Neuer.

The Bundesliga champion says Reina asked to be released from his contract so that he could have more playing time.

Reina made three Bundesliga appearances last season.

Bayern has signed Sven Ulreich from Stuttgart as its new reserve keeper.
