Meet Satvat Jagwani, The JEE Topper With AIR 1 Who Left IIT-Bombay For This Reason
Satvat Jagwani completed his graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT.

Graduates from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) are placed in some of the multinational companies worth billions of dollars. IIT graduates are known for their sharp minds and out-of-the-box thinking that helps them secure whopping salary packages. Getting admission to IIT is not easy. One has to go through several stages like difficult entrance exams, to be able to secure a seat here. Lakhs of students prepare for IIT-JEE and only a handful get selected to the institution of their choice. One such genius student is Satvat Jagwani.

Satvat Jagwani secured a seat at IIT- Bombay with his All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Exam). After two years, he left IIT-Bombay and enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His father is Dr Manoj Jagwani, a senior paediatrician and his mother Bhumika Jagwani dreamed of their son becoming a doctor. Satvat Jagwani was more interested in Mathematics. He took coaching from Kota’s Bansal Classes and scored 469 out of 504.

Satvat Jagwani, a resident of Satna in Madhya Pradesh, studied at Nalanda Public Senior Secondary School. Right from his childhood, he was interested in Mathematics and Physics. His scores became an inspiration among other IIT aspirants. He had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as his subjects in Class 12 and for his academic success, he credited his parents and teachers. He loved to solve Sudoku, read books and solve Maths problems. After topping the IIT-Jee and securing a seat at IIT-Bombay, he created his Quora profile and started his YouTube channel to help other IIT aspirants and teach programming. He pursued Computer Science, but when he left the reputed institute after two years to move to MIT, it left many baffled.

As per his LinkedIn profile, Satvat Jagwani completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT in 2020. He also pursued his Master’s from MIT. Currently, he is employed at a US-based software company named Cadence Design Systems, which was founded by an IIT graduate in 2021. Satvat Jagwani works as a Software Development Engineer in the company.
