The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has decided students who appeared for the PCS-J Main Exam 2022 will be granted an opportunity to view their answer sheets between June 20 and July 30.
The UPPSC has launched a special campaign inviting all candidates who appeared in the exams to inspect their respective answer sheets to ensure transparency and address concerns among candidates. This is happening for the first time in the commission’s history that all the candidates appearing in the main examination will be shown their copies.
It has issued a schedule based on the roll numbers of the candidates. The answer sheets will be shown in four sessions on working days: 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 pm. Candidates would only be permitted to check their answer sheets, and the viewing or inspection time will be limited to 30 minutes, according to UPPSC test controller Harsh Dev Pandey.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, he said all the candidates can report at Saraswati Bhawan on the commission premises on the specified date and time with the prescribed form. For entry, students must bring their admit cards, mark sheets and a photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar card, driving licence, voter ID, or passport.
He also said that they are not allowed to bring any electronic devices like mobile phones, pagers, calculators, tape recorders, erasers, pencils, or pens.
The decision was taken after the controversy over paper leaks and the changing of answer sheets. All the 3019 candidates who appeared in the main exam of PCS J 2022 will be able to see their answer sheets. A candidate named Shravan Kumar, who appeared in the PCS J main exam, had alleged that his copy was changed. This matter is still pending in the Allahabad High Court.
