The much-awaited results of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2023 examination have been released on Tuesday. Along with the results, the commission has also released the toppers list. As per the list, Aditya Srivastava has secured the first rank in the competitive examination, while Animesh Pradhan stood in the second position across the country.
In the UPSC examination, as many as 347 general candidates, 115 EWS candidates, 303 OBC applicants, 165 SC and 86 ST candidates have passed all the rounds. Amongst the 1016 securing applicants, Monica Srivastava, a resident of Aurangabad, marked her place in the 455th rank.
As per the reports, Monica is the daughter of an engineer Brajesh Srivastava and a principal Bharti Srivastava. Previously, she also secured the 66th rank Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination.
Following her success in the UPSC examination, Monica told Local18 that whatever position and responsibility will be assigned to her by the commission, she will be fulfilling it with all her efforts. Apart from this, she also mentioned that she will always try to give her best in the national and public interest.
On her success, Monica has credited her success to the blessings of her parents, the support of her siblings and all the efficient guidance from her teachers so far. Apart from securing her place in the BPSC and UPSC examinations, Monica is also known to have secured the first position amongst the girls in the entrance examination of IIT. After passing out from Guwahati IIT, Monica has also worked in a high position in a private company in Chennai.
The UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Examination was conducted on May 28, last year. The candidates who passed the preliminary round were eligible to appear in the main examination. Later on, December 8, the UPSC CSE mains results were announced which was followed by the personal interview.
On securing the competitive examination, applicants in UPSC will be allotted to various central governmental services and departments including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
