The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) has formed an important partnership with Birmingham City University (BCU) to promote global cooperation in academics. This collaboration aims to enhance teaching, research and professional development at both institutions. The partnership was formalised with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Prof Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur and Prof Eileen McAuliffe, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean at Birmingham City University.
The focus of this collaboration is on specific initiatives that will benefit students, faculty members and the broader academic community. Both institutions will work together to promote academic exchange programmes. They will also collaborate on research projects, teaching methods and professional development opportunities. This partnership is expected to strengthen the ties between the two institutions and create new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, expressed his excitement about the partnership. Prof. Satyasiba Das, Dean of External at IIM Raipur, also highlighted the importance of international collaboration. He stated that partnering with academic institutions worldwide is a key goal of IIM Raipur. He believes that this new international partnership is a significant milestone in the institute’s journey towards becoming a globally recognised institution of excellence. The partnership was initiated by Dr Shishank, Associate Professor at Birmingham City University and Dr Mrinal Chavda, Assistant Professor at IIM Raipur.
