The University of Delhi (DU) is considered as one of the most prestigious government-funded institutions in the country. The education at its colleges is renowned all around the world. There are many colleges that come under DU; a host of students take admission in it to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate courses every year. The colleges also have high-quality faculty that teach specialised courses. Every year, there are notifications regarding faculty admission in colleges at DU as well. At times, there are requirements for non-faculty staff as well. Recently, DU’s Zakir Hussain College has issued a notification for the recruitment of non-faculty staff.
According to reports, a total of 33 vacant posts in the non-teaching category will be filled through this recruitment drive. This includes the posts of Senior Personal Assistant, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant, Typist, Chemistry Lab Assistant, Lab Attendant Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and Electronics, Zoology, and Library Attendant. The advertisement was released on December 23, and the last date to apply is within 21 days of the release of the notification. The application fee for people belonging to the general category is Rs 1000. The application fee has been waived for people belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, or PWD categories.

Zakir Hussain College Non-Teaching Recruitment: Educational Qualification
Senior Personal Assistant: Interested candidates will need a Bachelor’s degree with three years’ experience as a private secretary, personal assistant, stenographer, or executive assistant in a government department, autonomous body, PSU, or educational institution. They would also require a detection speed of 100 words per minute, 40 words per minute in English, and 55 words per minute in Hindi on the computer.
Senior Assistant: Interested candidates must have passed graduation with at least 50 percent marks. They should also have knowledge of computers and at least a 6-month diploma or certificate in the same. They should also have at least 4 years of administrative experience.
Junior Assistant: They must have passed 12th with at least 50 percent marks. They should also have an English typing speed of at least 35 words per minute and their Hindi typing speed should be 30 words per minute.
