NEET UG 2024 was held on May 5 with above 24 lakh applicants participating in it. Of the 67 students who secured 720 out of 720, one is Ayush Naugraiya. He is an All-India Topper and his score speaks for his hard work. The student used to self-study for 6 hours every day and had also joined a well-known coaching institute in Lucknow, where he used to study for three to four hours.

Ayush Naugraiya began his NEET preparation from Class 9 and finally, at the age of 17, he cleared NEET with a full score. His father, Sanjay has a clothes business, while his mother is a teacher. He is the first person in his family who become a doctor. Ayush completed his Class 12 from Loyola International School. He also secured 96 per cent in the 12th board examination.

The student recalled that while preparing for NEET he suffered from Dengue. Despite his health taking a toll, he did not give up. During his illness, he lagged significantly in his studies. Still, he continued studying and eventually topped. When he has to choose a medical college, he will be opting for Delhi’s AIIMS. He shared that usually, students move abroad to study and prepare from there, but he aims to stay in his country and serve the patients here.

Ayush aims to become a cardiologist as he is interested in the workings of the heart. After MBBS, when he has to become a specialist, he wants to choose cardiology. What inspires him is that the number of heart attack cases is increasing rapidly in the country and there is a shortage of cardiologists in India. Hence, he wants to step in and offer the best service to patients.
