The Higher Education Department, Government of Assam, has issued guidelines and schedule for admissions to the Four-year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), Five-year Integrated Master Programme (FYIMP), and Five-year Integrated Post Graduate Programme (FYIPGP) for the year 2024. As per the admission schedule, the commencement of admission processes for Assam UG and PG courses is scheduled to start from today, May 27 across different universities.
As per the official notification, admission for FYUGP, FYIMP, and FYIPGP either through non-CUET mode or CUET mode will be facilitated only through the common admission portal, which is assamadmission.samarth.ac.in. This applies to all government, provincialised, government model colleges, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, and autonomous colleges.
In addition to that, admissions for FYUGP and FYIMP in state university campuses and venture, private, and non-government colleges affiliated with Assam University and state universities will also be provisioned only through the common admission portal assamadmission.samarth.ac.in.
Students will be given six options for programme selection either in the same Higher Educational Institution or in different Higher Educational Institutions (University/Colleges). They need to mark preferences against the options of programs. HEIs will be informed of the preference selected by the applicants. However, autonomous Colleges /Universities shall prepare the merit lists following their admission criteria and affiliated Colleges shall prepare their merit list based on the relevant policy of the concerned affiliating universities.

Moreover, the induction programme will be conducted from June 24 to 29 post-admissions under non-CUET. The demo class for Core and Common course is August 5 to 10 and the Paper/course selection in Samarth portal will be done between August 12 and 14. Full class resumes from August 16.
