All About IGNOU's Skill-based Graduate Programmes For Agniveers

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started special courses for Agniveers. These courses will start in July this year. The purpose of these courses is to develop career skills for Agniveers who have completed four years of military training.

Dr Amit Chaturvedi, Noida Regional Director of IGNOU, said that all the courses started for Agniveers are of applied skills, which will be helpful for them in developing expertise in a particular field. All courses will last three years, and their medium will be both Hindi and English. The study material will be available in both print and digital form.

Five graduate-level courses for the Agniveers:

Bachelor of Arts MSME (BAASMSME)

Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management (BAASTM)

Bachelor of Arts Applied Skills (BAAS)

Bachelor of Commerce Applied Skills (BCOMAS)

Bachelor of Science Applied Skills (BSCAS)

Course fee:

The fees for all the courses started for Agniveers are different. The fee for the Bachelor of Arts MSME (BAASMSME) programme is Rs 5,100 per year. The fee for Bachelor of Arts Tourism Management, Bachelor of Arts Applied Skills and Bachelor of Commerce Applied Skills are Rs 4,200. The fee for a Bachelor of Science Applied Skills (BSCAS) is Rs 5,700 per year. Besides, the registration fee and development fee will have to be paid separately.

Who can take admission?

IGNOU teaches five skill-based courses for Agniveers. But any student who has passed 12th can take admission in these. These courses will run under IGNOU’s School of Vocational Education and Training. The mode of all the courses is distance learning.

2: On the homepage, click on the Agniveers admission section.

3: Fill in all the required registration details and use your email and mobile number during registration.

4: Click on the submit button to complete the registration.

5: If you have already registered previously, simply click the login button to access your account.

6: Fill out the application by submitting the required details and paying the fees.

7: Keep a copy of the same for future reference.
