Out-of-favour Pakistani batter Ahmed Shehzad, who made headlines for criticising Pakistan men’s cricket team Babar Azam for his flop show in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, is getting trolled by fans after a video of him failing to fire in a gully cricket match against locals went viral.
In the viral clip, 32-year-old Shehzad, who last played for Pakistan in 2019, can be seen getting bowled out three times in four balls by a local bowler.

During the T20 World Cup 2024 matches played in the West Indies and USA last month, Shehzad slammed Pakistani batters flop show and accused them of getting engaged in groupism. After Men in Green failed to qualify for the Super 8s, Shehzad even asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to drop Babar, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman.
According to him, these senior players were given enough time to perform and improve, but there wasn’t any improvement, and instead they formed a group in the team to protect their friends.
He had slammed Azam for failing to deliver when it mattered and called him a fake king.
“Your strike rate is 112, and your average is 26. You haven’t hit a single six in 207 balls in the Powerplay. I admit I could’ve improved on my own performances eight years ago, but your stats are even worse. You are worse than me, but you are king. You’re a fraud king,” Shehzad had said.
“He could not bring any trophy for Pakistan. After that, you have ruined the entire domestic structure; you are such a captain, you cannot unconventionally run the domestic team to bring in your friends,” he added.
Shehzad’s record for Pakistan
Shehzad made his international debut for Pakistan on April 24, 2009, during an ODI match played against Australia in Dubai. He made his T20I debut on May 9, 2009, and was part of the Younis Khan-led side that won the 2009 T20 World Cup title. In his 15-year-long career, the 32-year-old right-handed top-order batter has featured in 13 Tests, 81 ODIs, and 59 T20Is for Pakistan and has 982, 2605, and 1471 runs to his name.
