Indian cricketer Shreyanka Patil presented Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana with a special gift. Fatima initially left the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 midway due to the sudden demise of her father. She returned to lead Pakistan in their final group game against New Zealand. After her return, Fatima revealed she received a card from Shreyanka.
The Pakistan skipper shared a photograph of the card the Indian spinner had sent to her. Touched by Shreyanka’s gesture, Fatima wrote, “Thank you, Shreyanka, for this beautiful gift and the message.”
A screenshot of the Instagram post soon went viral on X (formerly Twitter). In the snap, one could see Fatima Sana holding a card in her left hand. The card also had a warm note that read, “Do what you love.” It also featured Shreyanka Patil’s signature and jersey number in the bottom right. The Indian spinner responded to Fatima’s post with a wholesome reply in a now-expired Instagram story. She said, “You are lovely Fatima. Can’t wait to catch up again!”

Both India and Pakistan bowed out of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the group stage. But the heartbreaking exit did not stop the two nations from sharing a warm moment. India failed to make the tournament due to a nine-run loss against Australia in their final match. They are now set to take on New Zealand in a three-match ODI series from October 24.
