The Lankan side will be looking to improve on their previous performance where they picked up a loss against Australia in the group stages. Their wins in the tournament so far have only come against minnows like Zimbabwe and Namibia. But they have the added advantage since they have played all their group-stage fixtures in Kimberly and would look to make the best use of the conditions.
The West Indies U19 team however have had a relatively rocky performance in the group stage so far. The started off with a loss against the hosts, South Africa and then went on to win their next two fixtures against Scotland and England which was more suprising. They will also be playing in unfamilar conditions when they come to Kimberly with all their group-stage fixtures taking place in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
