Bangladesh beat Nepal by 5 wickets.
Bangladesh were the better side against the surprise package of the tournament Nepal. They managed to get the victory against the neighbouring side thanks to some decent performances with both bat and ball.
Nepal were reduced to just 169 as they were all-out within in the final over of the innings. Rohanat Doullah Borson was the pick of the Bangladeshi bowlers as he finished with figures of 4/19 in 8.5 overs. Sheikh Paevez Jibon was also decent as he picked up 3/34 in his quota as well. Iqbal Hossain, Jishan Alam, and Maruf Mridha also chipped in with a wicket each. For Nepal, it was the middle-order batter Bishal Bikram who just missed out on his half-century. Skipper Dev Khanal also scored a gritty 35 but none of the other batters managed to overcome the tough conditions.
In the second innings, it was the opener Jishan Alam who scored 55 while Ariful Islam scored a quick 59 off 38 deliveries to complete the run-chase and secure the victory for Bangladesh by five wickets and 24.2 overs to spare.
