MS Dhoni Receives Invitation For ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya
MS Dhoni got the invitation for the auspicious occasion on Monday.

Legendary India skipper Mahendra Singh has received the invitation for ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir, which will take place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on January 22.

The authorities have sent invitations to several high-profile personalities including Mr Mukesh Ambani, legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, Ratan Tata, cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar and some more.

Dhananjay Singh, co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) presented the invitation to the 2011 World Cup-winning captain. State Organization General Secretary of BJP, Karmaveer Singh, was also present to invite him to the auspicious day.

The honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi will also be present at the highly awaited inauguration of the mandir is scheduled to be on the 22nd of January in UP City.

The Fans on social media posted a photo of Dhoni receiving the invite on social media which went viral.

Recently, the BCCI retired Dhoni’s iconic number 7 jersey as no player will be allowed to take the iconic number.

Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 as he last played for India in 2019 in the ODI WC semi-final against New Zealand. Since his retirement, no other player has worn the No.7 shirt since then.

“He is a legendary player. His contribution to Indian as well as world cricket is immense. To honour his contribution, the decision to retire number seven has been taken by the BCCI,” Shukla told PTI.

The wicketkeeper batter will be seen in the next season of IPL as Chennai Super Kings have retained him for the mega tournament after he led them to the fifth IPL title last year.

The wicket-keeper batter was struggling throughout last season with a knee injury and also underwent surgery after the winning fifth IPL title.

Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan recently told ANI, “He has recovered well (from his knee injury). He is undergoing his rehab programmes, started training. By the time the next IPL starts, I am sure he will be fit to play.”
