Lasith Malinga’s Priceless Reaction to Virat Kohli's Viral Conversation with Shakib Al Hasan from Day 2 of Bangladesh Test

Former Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga has reacted to a viral video in which Virat Kohli could be seen speaking to Shakib al Hasan, comparing young pacer Hasan Mahmud with the Sri Lankan legend. Kohli’s stay at the crease may have been brief on Friday but he managed to entertain fans during the second day of the ongoing Chennai Test against Bangladesh.

The former Indian captain was caught by the cameras and stumps mics, telling Shakib that Hasan Mahmud is constantly bowling yorkers as if he is Lasith Malinga.

“Malinga bana hua, yorker pe yorker de raha hai (He is bowling yorker like Lasith Malinga),” Kohli was heard saying in the video.

The video went viral on social media, garnering attention from the legend himself. Malinga took to social media on Saturday and wrote, “Niyamai malli (Great, brother).”

Kohli managed to score just 17 from 37 deliveries, after his run-a-ball six in the first innings. He was trapped in front late on Friday by off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Despite a chat with his partner at the crease, Kohli decided against going for a review as he walked back to the dressing room. Replays later showed that he had edged the ball onto his pads and would have been not out.
