Australia will be looking for a 4-0 clean sweep in the T20 World Cup group stage as they take on Scotland next. The 2021 winners currently lead in Group B of the ICC event with three wins in as many games. In their previous match, the Aussies faced Namibia in Antigua.
Bowling first against the African nation, Adam Zampa put up a star performance and scalped four wickets. He received some support from Josh Hazlewood and Marcus Stonis who combined for another four dismissals. The heroics from the bowling trio helped the former T20 World Cup champions curb Namibia at a score of 72. Spearheaded by Travis Head’s 17-ball 34, Australia were able to complete the chase within six overs. The Aussies will now look to continue that momentum against Scotland next as they eye a second T20 World Cup crown.
Australia and Scotland will take each other on at the Beausejour Stadium on June 16. As for Scotland, the European side is having a phenomenal group stage so far. They have secured five points from the three matches they have played. The Scotsmen also currently sitting two points above England. A win in their final Group B match against Australia will certify their place in the playoffs.
