The first month of the festive season is here, and it is a known fact that Indians love to celebrate festivals along with films. With this month seeing festivities like Navratri and Dussehra, the Tamil film industry is also gearing up to supply audiences with a strong line-up of movies to start the festive month. As the first Friday of October approaches, let us see what Tamil cinema has to offer us on the day. Here’s a list of Tamil movies to be released tomorrow October 6.

Ratham

Actor Vijay Antony and actress Mahima Nambiar will be seen together in the film directed by CS Amudhan. The movie was initially supposed to be released on September 29 but was postponed by a week.

The Road

Arun Vaseegaran has written and directed this gritty road thriller starring Trisha Krishnan in the lead. This film is based on a true incident that took place in Madurai in the early 2000s. How Meera, a journalist, and Maya, a college lecturer, had their lives turned upside down by a national highway, which becomes the main source of tension in their lives forms the crux of the story. The audience will be part of the gripping tale tomorrow.

Irugapatru

Yuvraj Dhayalan, who directed the movies Tenaliraman and Eli, starring Vadivelu, has now completely changed his formula and directed a non-comedic romantic drama. It stars Vikram Prabhu, Sri, Vidharth, Shraddha Srinath, Aparnathy, and Sania Ayyappan. It focuses on how a couple overcame societal problems while living together under the same roof.

800

A biographical sports drama, 800 is based on the life and career of cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, who holds the record for most wickets in cricket history. M.S. Sripathy is the director, and Mahima Nambiar and Madhur Mittal play the lead actors in the film. It shows how Murali turns to cricket for solace, confronts bullies, and develops into the most prolific wicket-taker in cricket history from an exuberant pace bowler.
