New Delhi: Even as the Civil Aviation Ministry is all set to open the financial bids for the privatisation of Mumbai and Delhi airports, air travellers feel the modernisation of the airports will improve the services to a large extent.

Airport bids open at three in the afternoon on Tuesday. While airport employees have threatened to go on a strike in protest against the move, the air passengers feel that privatisation was definitely a move forward.

"Both of them (Delhi and Mumbai airports) are pathetic. The flights don't land on time. It's actually a patheic scenario," said one frequent flier.

"Modernisation must take place. It's very much needed," said another

"Lot of things can be changed. The number of air passengers is going up day by day. You can have a long list of that," added a third passenger.

"Well, I guess it's too crowded now," another frequent flier told CNN-IBN.

What's your reaction?
