Richa Chadha Says Two of Her Indigo Flights Were Delayed by 4 Hours: 'Monopoly Creates Lack Of...'

Richa Chadha revealed she was also a victim of delayed flights. The actress took to X, previously known as Twitter, and shared that she boarded three flights in the past three days. While two of them were Indigo, the third was an international flight. Richa revealed that her domestic flights were delayed while her international flight was on time. Weighing in on the ongoing delayed flights controversy, Richa said that there is possibilities that the fog in New Delhi and the recent air show in Mumbai added to Indigo’s worries.

“On my 3rd flight in 3 days… day 1, @IndiGo6E delayed by over 4 hours. Day 2, @IndiGo6E delayed by 4 hours. But the only direct flights on some routes are often Indigo. Day 3, international flight, no problem. On the 14th of Jan, there was an air show in Mumbai, because of which the runway was closed in the morning. And then fog/smog in North India – Delhi runway closed. Ripple effect? Flights delayed all over the country, staff overextended,” the Fukrey star said.

The Bollywood actress then addressed the recent incident in which a passenger assaulted an Indigo pilot and said, “I am surprised only one person got physically assaulted because tempers were running very high (I don’t condone violence).”

Richa said that the Indigo controversy has taught an important lesson. “Lesson: Monopoly – whether airlines, airport ownership or leadership – creates lack of accountability. Common citizens suffer, with no recourse. Till we don’t recognise it, we will be at a disadvantage while paying through our noses. And if we don’t wake up, we deserve it haina ? ‍♀️” she said.

Indigo airlines has been under fire lately for its delayed flights and mistreatment of its flyers. Several shocking incidents have been reported. Radhika Apte was also a victim of delayed flight recently.
