Dipika Chikhlia aka Ramayan's Sita BREAKS Down in Ram Mandir; PM Modi Shares Video; Watch

Actress Dipika Chikhlia, who played the role of Goddess Sita in DD’s Ramayan, broke down at the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya. The actress was one of the many stars invited to the launch. She was joined by Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in the show. In a video shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the launch, Dipika not only made an appearance but she was also seen wiping her tears as the inauguration took place.

The video shared by PM Modi featured several moments from the historic event. These include the crowds celebrating the launch, clips of the Prime Minister offering prayers at the temple and more. Sharing the video on X, PM Modi wrote, “What we saw in Ayodhya yesterday, 22nd January, will be etched in our memories for years to come.”

Dipika shared a snippet of the clip, featuring herself, on Instagram and wrote, “Thank you note to shri narendramodi ji you are truly great in every sense blessed to have you as our prime minister .”

While Dipika couldn’t hide her tears, Arun Govil express his disappointed that he couldn’t get the darshans on the inauguration day. As reported by Bharat 24, Arun was asked about his reaction to the Ram Mandir and the actor said, “Sapna toh bhaiya poora ho gaya par mujhe darshan nahi hue. Main kuch nahi keh sakta iss samay (The dream has been fulfilled but I did not get to do ‘darshan’. I can’t say anything at the moment),” he said.

Apart from him, many other celebrities were seen attending the event. Photos and videos are going viral from the event on social media. These included Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit.
