The leading automotive giant Skoda is gearing up to improve its product line in India. The company is pipelined to introduce a new SUV called Kylaq in India. It is expected to arrive by the start of next year.

Ahead of the official release, the model started creating buzz on the internet. Recently, it has been spied during the testing phase in Pune. The spy images have revealed many details and key features about the upcoming offering.

Here’s What to Expect

According to the spy images, the upcoming Kylaq is expected to hit the market with an impressive-sized single-pane sunroof. It has been reported that the trending feature might come in top trims only. However, the company is yet to share the official details about the same.

Other Highlights

The leaks also hinted that the model will get silver-finished roof rails, complimented by a shark fin antenna. Despite being fully covered in heavy camouflage, the viral image somehow hinted at the rear section as well. It is expected to be inspired by the hot-selling product Kushaq, featuring an identical taillight and similar bumper.

Platform and Engine

Most of the details about the SUV have been kept under wrap as yet. However, it is clear that the vehicle will be built on Skoda’s MQB A0-IN platform. It is the same platform that is shared by Kushaq and Slavia.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, the model might use a robust 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which will generate impressive power.  The unit will be mated with both manual and automatic transmission options.
