The Skoda has showcased the concept avatar of the hot-selling product Kushaq. The company has unveiled it under the nameplate ‘Explorer’. However, it is not confirmed yet whether the model will make it to the production stage or not. Even the company did not share any related details about the same.
Talking about the design, it flaunts the identical structure to the ongoing Kushaq. However, it gets some noticeable cosmetic changes from inside and outside, which can not be ignored.
What’s Unique?
The concept avatar was displayed in the matte green paint finish, featuring orange color accents at the piano finish grill at the front and the side profile. The model is treated with a similar LED headlight setup as the typical Kushaq one. It also features roof rails, and fog lamps, which are positioned right below the LED DRLs and given two towing hooks at the front.
At the back, seems like nothing has been touched as it gives a similar vibe as the ongoing Kushaq.
Design Elements
Going by the overall structure, the vehicle looks nothing, but a perfect off-roader. It also flaunts black finish alloy wheels, which somehow enhance its physical appearance. To make it aggressive and bolder, the compact SUV was given a heavy dark matte finish cladding on the side.
Engine and Power
As per the details, the Skoda Explorer features a trusted 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine. This unit successfully churns a max power of 48bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.
It is expected that the powertrain is mated with six-speed manual and seven-speed DSG units. As far as the mileage is concerned, the model might offer a decent fuel efficiency between 18.00 kmpl and 19.00 kmpl.
