Salman Khan’s Former E39 BMW M5 Gets A Stylish Makeover

Bollywood celebrities and their extravagant lifestyles have always been a source of fascination for fans, and one element that often captures attention is their penchant for luxury cars.

Recently, Car Crazy India shared images of a classic E39 BMW M5 on Instagram, once owned by the Bollywood megastar Salman Khan. The post not only showcased the sleek sedan but also highlighted the tasteful modifications made by its current owner.

The Instagram post by Car Crazy India revealed that Salman Khan’s E39 BMW M5, recognised as India’s only one of its kind, had some unique features during the actor’s ownership. The car, due to the prevailing conditions in Bollywood at that time, was equipped with bulletproof windows, according to the caption accompanying the post.

The post showcased the vehicle parked at a car meet in Mumbai, alongside an Audi 100 and the country’s only Audi B7 RS4, the caption added.

However, it remains uncertain whether the current owner has retained the bulletproof windows. Given the E39 M5’s reputation as an exceptional driving enthusiast’s car, Cartoq reports that there is speculation that the owner might have opted for a change, considering the added weight of bulletproof glass.

Originally finished in a distinctive Bluewater Metallic Blue colour during Salman Khan’s ownership, the car has transformed, now sporting BMW’s original Titanium Silver shade.

Notable modifications include multi-spoke black alloy wheels with a vibrant red barrel and centre cap.

The front of the car boasts a striking carbon fibre front splitter, accompanied by an aggressive bonnet featuring carbon fibre scoops to cool the engine.

At the rear, a new carbon fibre spoiler atop the rear windshield and a lip spoiler on the boot lid add a touch of sportiness. While changes to the exhaust tips suggest a potential upgrade, there is no official confirmation.

The E39 BMW M5, revered as one of the finest driving cars from the German automaker, continues to be a sought-after collector’s item.

Powered by an S62 V8 engine producing 400 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, this generation of the M5 is celebrated for its exceptional performance and driving experience.
