Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has taken a big step in car shopping by introducing the Direct Connect platform.

This new feature enhances their existing virtual showroom, allowing customers to explore the Honda Elevate SUV in real time using advanced cloud technology.

Currently, the Direct Connect interface is available only for the Elevate, but Honda plans to expand it to other models soon, according to Cartoq. With this platform, customers can enjoy a smooth and interactive experience as they learn about the car’s features.

The Direct Connect platform connects buyers with experts in real-time. These specialists will help customers understand the Elevate’s details, clear up any confusion about different variants, and assist in choosing the best options and accessories.

According to Cartoq, Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at HCIL, noted, “This platform provides a visually interactive way for users to explore the Honda Elevate and make informed decisions from their homes or offices.”

Users can interact with a photorealistic view of the Elevate, changing its color and simulating various features. The platform also allows customers to book test drives and select their preferred dealer, making the car-buying journey much smoother.

While Honda is not the first to adopt this technology, following in the footsteps of brands like Citroen and Kia, their Direct Connect platform marks a significant advancement in how customers can engage with their vehicles.

The Honda Elevate is already a favorite among customers for its robust design and spacious interior. Key features include a large front grille, LED headlights, and ample boot space. Inside, you’ll find an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and six airbags for safety. Powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, it offers a choice between a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission, perfect for city driving.
