Watch: Noida Boy Who Wished To Buy Thar For Rs 700 Gets A Tour Of SUV Factory

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular indigenously made vehicles in India. Back in December 2023, a video went viral, that showed a young boy from Noida urging his father to buy the covered SUV for Rs 700. The Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra had also reposted this video on X. Now a month later, the young Thar enthusiast got a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a special tour of a Mahindra plant in Chakan near Pune. Anand Mahindra shared a video that documented Cheeku’s visit to the plant and how he saw the fascinating SUV making process. During his trip, Cheeku got to take a ride in the red Mahindra Thar and also received its miniature replica as a souvenir.

While sharing this clip, Mahindra wrote, “CHEEKU goes to CHAKAN. From a viral video to a real-life adventure…Cheeku, the young Thar enthusiast, visited our Chakan plant, bringing smiles and inspiration with him.” He added, “I’m hoping it also prevents him now from asking his Dad to buy him a Thar for only ₹700!” Mahindra also thanked Asha Kharga, the Chief Customer & Brand Officer and team Mahindra Auto members “for hosting one of our best brand ambassadors!”

This post has gathered over 2.9 lakh views and over 8,000 likes. Commenting on it, an X user suggested, “Would love to see a Thar Advertisement with Cheeku… With the tagline “Ab to Cheeku bhi samajh gaya, Aap kab samjhoge?” (Starting with someone asking Cheeku what’s the best SUV etc.)” A person observed, “Looks like Cheeku is driving more attention than your latest model! Better watch out, he might steal the show with his charisma and Thar-tactic moves!”
