Watch: Disneyland Actors Showed Heroic Spirit When Earthquake Struck Japan
Japan was recently hit by a massive earthquake on New Year's Day, leaving over 70 people dead and many more missing.

In a moment of tragedy, Japan was hit by a devastating earthquake on New Year’s Day, claiming the lives of over 70 people so far. In the wake of the nation being hit by a disaster, a heartwarming video has now got the internet talking for all the right reasons. In the face of the powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula and surrounding regions in central Japan, Tokyo’s Disneyland also had noticeable tremors that left all the visitors quite scared. A video making rounds on the internet shows anxious and scared visitors at the theme park, while Disneyland actors in costume try to comfort and calm them down.

Keeping up with their duty towards the tourists, the Disney characters in costumes including Daisy, Goofy, Donald, and even Minnie Mouse not only took safety measures themselves but also guided the others around them to do the same. They were also making efforts to rescue and comfort the visitors including men, women, and scared children. “When the earthquake struck, Tokyo Disneyland had obvious tremors, and at the time of the incident, Tokyo Disneyland dolls also squatted on the ground with tourists to avoid danger. But at the same time, they did not forget to comfort the tourists. Even if afraid, they were still working hard to protect childhood dreams,” a part of the video’s caption read.

At a time when the country is trying to cope with a deteriorating situation, the video has won several hearts on the internet. Many lauded the actors’ efforts and showered the spot with heavy praises in the comment section.

A user wrote, “Tokyo disney cast members deserve all the respect not just for customer service but for going above and beyond even in a literal crisis”, while another one commented, “Eyeore being the most depressed character comforting everyone during an earthquake is probably the most wholesome thing in 2024 so far.”

“This is why I love Japan in general! Despite actors being dressed up as Disney characters, they still chose to keep the kids safe even if they need to break character to do so,” a third user commented.
