Dong Tam Snake Farm in Tien Giang is considered the biggest snake farm in Vietnam. The farm which was built as a place of emergency and treatment for venomous snake bites now shelters the largest list of snakes in Vietnam. It has also become a popular tourist destination spot for the tourists.

Apart from sightseeing, Dong Tam Snake Farm also provides facilities such as treatment for snake bites and research for the antidote of popular snake venoms. It is spread over 12 hectares. Every year, around 1,500 people visit this farm. The videos of the snake farm are going viral now.

In a viral video, a bunch of yellow snakes are seen lying on the branches of trees. According to reports, more than 400 types of poisonous snakes are present in the garden. As per tourist websites, the primary purpose of this snake farm is to use the venom secreted by snakes to produce serum along with growing medicinal plants. Medicines are made from their poison and antidotes are also made to neutralise the poison. If you visit during the mating season, you can also witness the natural reproduction of snakes.

This place has the only snake museum in Vietnam which has set a Guinness Vietnam Record. The museum shelters more than 50 species of snakes of all kinds with many rare ones. Netizens were shocked to discover a garden of snakes. One of the users wrote, “How can it not be planted trees that produce fruits but trees that produce snakes.” After watching the video, one of the users humorously compared the snakes with his friends and wrote, “And I was thinking where did my friends go, here they are.”

The entry price of this snake farm for the adults is Rs 101 (30,000 VND) while for the children between 6 to 12 years old, they have to pay Rs 67.
