Mohit Malik, known for shows like Kulfi Kumar Bajewala and Doli Armaano Ki, made his much-awaited television comeback with Star Plus’ latest show, Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. The show premiered in August and is being well received. In the latest, Mohit, who plays the lead character of Kunal in the show, revealed how the hectic schedule has adversely affected his health. The actor has been struggling with fatigue and blood pressure issues while working on the sets.
Mohit Malik shared, “For two days, my sugar had remained low on the sets. My blood sugar level has reduced to 58, which indicates hypoglycemia. This has happened for the first time in my life, and I experienced it while shooting on the sets.I am facing extreme fatigue, blankness, and all those symptoms. I got my blood sugar checked, and then I got to know that my sugar had dropped to 58, ‘ as quoted by an IANS report.
Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, similar to many other TV shows, featured a Ganesh Chaturthi sequence on the show. The actor believes that he got “stressed out because of the hectic long hours shooting the Ganpati sequence, performing Kalipayattu, and some other challenging shoots.” He added that he had neglected his diet, and hence his health had deteriorated to this extent.
The plot of Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si revolves around the lives of two people in their 30s and 40s, Kunal Malhotra (played by Mohit Malik) and Vandana Karmarkar (played by Sayli Salunkhe), and their intertwined journey in pursuit of their dreams, as well as the question of whether love is still possible after a certain age. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director Kut Production and premiered in August. In addition to Mohit and Sayli, the show features Abhidnya Bhave, Garvita Sadhwani, Arisht Jain, and others in significant roles.
Earlier, while speaking about his character on the show, Mohit Malik told Bollywood Life, “Kunal is a unique and compelling role, unlike any I’ve portrayed before. The character’s growth arc and the captivating storyline were major attractions for me. It’s ultimately a love story that explores how two individuals support each other in life, regardless of age.”. He shared that he was drawn to the character after the first narration and wanted to take up this project.
Mohit Malik has been a part of several hit daily soaps like Miilee, Phulwa, Lockdown Ki Love Story, and others over the years.
