We Finally Know When Apple Could Bring Siri AI Upgrade For iPhone Users And It’s Not In 2024
Apple demoed its new AI-rich Siri at the WWDC 2024 this year but iPhone users will have to wait longer to get these features.

Apple showcased the new AI avatar of Siri at the WWDC 2024 last month and confirmed the features will be coming to iPhone users soon. Many of you expected that to happen when the iOS 18 version releases along with the iPhone 16 series in the next few months. But new developments suggest that Apple will play it easy with the Siri AI upgrade and only bring it for all users next year.

The report from Bloomberg says that Apple will keep working on the AI upgrades for Siri and bring it around Spring 2025 with the iOS 18.4 version.

Siri AI Upgrade Pushed To 2025 But Why?

Bloomberg is generally accurate with its updates so we won’t be surprised to not see the new Siri avatar roll out with the first version of the iOS 18 release. But what has forced Apple to delay the release of Siri AI to next year? It is likely that Apple Intelligence or AI features are coming in thick and fast but the company is aware that rather than rushing into these updates, it is better off going slow and making sure that things are right.

And who can blame Apple for thinking in that manner, after all, Google and Microsoft have faced their own version of AI lapses that didn’t make a good reading for these tech giants.

Apple’s AI approach is different with focus on privacy in place thanks to its on-device data processing nature. OpenAI will be entrusted with other AI tools via ChatGPT for iPhone users that will come out much before the new Siri and other Apple AI features roll out. Running a tight ship allows Apple to have all the control over its in-house AI ecosystem which even includes the data centres powered by Apple chips.
