Samsung's thinnest ever Galaxy A8 smartphone with fingerprint sensor launched in India at Rs 32,500
The phone is said to be the thinnest ever Galaxy smartphone by Samsung at just 5.9mm and weighs 151 grams.

New Delhi: Ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event, South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has launched its Galaxy A8 smartphone that comes with a fingerprint sensor for a price of Rs 32,500.

Samsung Galaxy A8 sports a 5.7-inch SUPER AMOLED full HD display and under its hood is an Exynos 5430 processor clocked at 1.8GHz + 1.3GHz combined with 2GB RAM.

Earlier leaks also indicated that the phone will be the thinnest ever Galaxy smartphone by Samsung at just 5.9mm and weighs 151 grams.

The Android Lollipop based smartphone sports a 16 megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture combined with a 5 megapixel front snapper.

It draws its juice from a powerful 3050mAh battery that is claimed to offer 20 hours of battery life. The phone supports dual SIM and includes 32GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, USB, and WiFi.

The Galaxy A8 is currently up for pre-order on Samsung’s e-store.
