Honor 8C, the latest budget smartphone from the Huawei sub-brand in India, has gone on sale in India for the first time today. Honor 8C price in India has been set at Rs. 11,999 for the base 4GB/ 32GB storage model, while its 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 12,999. The Honor 8C will go on sale in the country exclusively through Amazon.in and HiHonor Store. Both variants come in Aurora Blue, Magic Night Black, Platinum Gold, and Nebula Purple colour options.
The Honor 8C will be available with benefits from Reliance Jio. Customers will get up to Rs. 4,450 under Jio Digital Life Benefits offer where up to 100GB 4G data will be available to users. The ICICI band customers can avail 5 per cent instant discount on the purchase of the Honor 8C. Other offers include cashback via Paytm and Cleartrip coupons worth Rs. 2,250.
The Honor 8C features a 6.26-inch FullView Display with HD+ resolution and the phone offers 86.6% screen-to-body ratio. There’s a notch on top of the display and it’s wider than the one present on the Honor 8X. The notch houses selfie camera, earpiece and proximity sensor. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB of internal storage. The phone also has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The USP of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 632 SoC and the 4000mAh battery underneath. The Honor 8C runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 which is a feature packed skin. In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, paired with an LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the front that has a fixed focus lens with an f/2.0 aperture and a selfie toning light.
